A
very important part of Community Sports Foundation's (CSF) program will
be to provide information and education on the importance of a proper
diet, regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle. CSF will also educate
kids and their families on how it can benefit both your sports performance
and your overall life too.
In
today's world to many kids are out of shape and do not get enough healthy
foods or enough exercise to help keep them at a healthy weight. Childhood
obesity is on the rise at alarming rates. 75% of all U.S. children are
not active even 20 minutes a day, which is a minimum daily requirement.
According
to the national institute of health "Increased participation in
physical activity improves health can give the participants a sense
of well being". CSF will work with health care professionals to
provide classes and information that teach proper eating habits, which
includes 5 servings of fruits and vegetables every day. CSF will recommend
various exercise programs that promote movement while building lean
muscle and reducing fat. CSF will show kids how a healthy lifestyle
can benefit many aspects of life beyond sports.
